Tobey Maguire definitely is not a teenage girl fantasy. He looks geeky, pensive, and boring, but whenever he plays sincere roles onscreen, he switches into an important, no-nonsense actor. Even with the crappy glitz of the Hollywood fame, he chooses to veer from the limelight and the public eye because deep inside, he's just a boy like Peter Parker, struggling for brilliance in an ordinary and not-so-ordinary world. For that, Tobey Maguire may fall short on appeal but he's definitely on high when it comes to acting prowess.
On June 27, 1975, Tobias Vincent Maguire was brought into the world, in Santa Monica in sunny California. His life was nothing like Spiderman's adventure. As a young boy, he was typically shy, quiet, and reserved. Her parents, Wendy and Vincent, split up when he was only 2 years old. From then on, the family moved from one place to another, leaving the young Tobey frazzled with living conditions. Imagine Peter Parker, then you'll know how life's been for this timid actor. He even had to quit school due to tremendous teen pressure. One day, he found himself taking drama classes because of his persuasive mom.
The true drama of his acting career came when he was cast to star for the "The Cider House Rules" opposite Charlize Theron and co-starring Michael Cane. He became a popular face in 1999 for this Oscar-winning movie, which stirred a lot of gossips and controversies all over America. But publicity proved to be worthy when he landed the role of geeky Peter Parker in the 2002 blockbuster hit, "Spider-Man." From a timid actor to a sensational Hollywood hero, he since then made millions and made a solid foot on stardom and fame.

Is it lovelier the second time around for Jen or is she just bluffing around with Vince on her hook? He's definitely no Brad Pitt, but Jen may have the hell of laughing time with this comic bulk of an actor.
Now you wouldn't typecast Vince Vaugn for his spice for lax and laughs. He was serious once, and I say deadly serious in the film remake, "Psycho". That's no trivia but for the latest generation of Vince Vaughn fans, that might be something far from his acting spiels. But yes he did it, and I'd say that his 6'4" stance works better in light comedies. So don't try to scare us anymore, Vince!
Vince Anthony Vaughn was born on March 28, 1970 in Minneapolis, Minnesotta. He loved theater, and this acting flair soon made career dare when he packed his bag for Hollywood. He starred in Steven Spielberg's Lost World: Jurrassic Park, but didn't roar much in the movie tilts. He also found himself in drama with various cameo roles but it didn't click to fame. It was only his team up with Will Ferrel and Owen Wilson in 2003 blockbuster hit "Old School" that Vince became visible to more Hollywood acting chops.
Vince is now rumored to be Jen's flavorful resort after Brad. But whether or not it will blossom to a true love affair or only a gossip flair for "The Break Up", that's something we'll have to watch out for. Vince is no Brad, but he sures know how to mend Jen's heart.

Golden boy Brad Pitt is perhaps the most bankable actor in Hollywood today. He was also named by People Magazine as one of the sexiest men alive just a few years back. In addition to these, Brad perfectly combines good looks and great acting prowess that helped him earn fame in the US and in the entire world. I must be the first to admit that I admire and envy this great actor because he had the most beautiful and sexiest women in Hollywood.
Brad started out as an actor via the film Thelma & Louise which was a huge success. After that great triumph, he did movies, many of which are equally successful as the first one. Such movies include Cool World Detective, True Romance, Interview With The Vampire, Fight Club, and a whole lot of blockbuster movies. These movies made him one of the top earners in the industry and gave him several acting trophies from local award-giving bodies as well as from some of the world's film festival organizations. Indeed, he became more famous and in demand. One of his latest movies is Mr. & Mrs. Smith which he co-starred with real-life sweetheart, the very sexy Angelina Jolie. I have nothing but praise and respect for this great actor who, despite his overwhelming success, remains humble and 'reachable'.

Tom Cruise has joined the elite rank of Hollywood's top earners due to great acting prowess, versatility, and hard work. This actor painlessly projects a youthful image that is magnetic enough to attract a lot of Eve's descendants as well as Adam's. Although he did not have a perfect family and childhood, Tom painstakingly worked his way to Hollywood until such time that he became an international star.
Shortly after leaving the seminary, Tom gave acting a try and debuted via the film "Endless Love". This movie was followed by several other movies, but Tom got the status of a superstar after doing the film "Top Gun". Due to his growing popularity, Tom did more blockbuster movies that took the whole world by storm. He eventually joined the rank of the most bankable and sought-after actors in Hollywood. In addition, many people say that Tom is one, if not the most, handsome actor in the world. His hit movies landed him to some of the prestigious film festivals in the world that made him even more famous and desired. He had a string of affairs with Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, and currently with Katie Holmes, whom he had a daughter. Perhaps, The "Mission Impossible" series is Tom's greatest movie project to date, the latest of which is the "Mission Impossible: III" released just a few weeks ago.

Bruce Willis must have been very fortunate because he is one of Hollywood's top earners in the action-suspense genre. Imagine, his movie "The Sixth Sense" alone earned more than $55 million! This great actor has displayed exceptional versatility having played various roles in films like "Die Hard" and "Unbreakable" among others. I must say that this actor has hardly carved his own mark in Hollywood and established himself in the elite list of Hollywood's most bankable and talented superstars.
Coming from a middle class family, Willis worked his way hard into Hollywood. He started out as a theater actor until such time that his immeasurable acting prowess was discovered. Such discovery landed him an important role in a famous television series, "Moonlighting", which won him various acting awards and catapulted him to the status of an international movie star. His flair in music made him record and release albums which were instant hits. Unbelievable, but true. In addition, he then did several blockbuster movies, some of them were critically and highly acclaimed that took him to some of the prestigious film festivals in the world. Though out of circulation for awhile, Willis' name lingers on. His other movies include "Hart's War", "The Story Of Us", and a whole lot more. One of his recent projects, "16 Blocks", was the one we were able to catch and I say that he is more intense than ever in acting. I guess that's also because of his age, but I have nothing except envy and admiration for this actor who is worthy of emulation and respect.

While it may be true for a while that Leonardo DiCaprio seems to be the hottest property in Hollywood, we cannot deny the fact that his fans including me are missing him. He may be taking a hiatus from the limelight, but this actor's star was never outshone. He is still the Tinseltown's hottest hunk ever whose looks and acting ability easily catapulted him to fame and glory. Leo is just one of the few actors and actresses that I really admire and envy because of their seemingly immeasurable skills.
Leonardo DiCaprio figured out remarkably in various films that include "The Basketball Diary", "The Beach", "Romeo and Juliet", and a whole lot more. He has also done several other movies which gave him many acting awards and nominations here and abroad. Who would ever forget his exceptional portrayal of the ever-loving and sacrificial Jack in the great blockbuster movie "Titanic"? This film which he co-starred with the beautiful and sexy Kate Winslet took him to some of the world's film festivals which made him even more famous. Indeed, Leo painstakingly carved his own place in Hollywood's pantheon of legends. He is such a great actor who is worthy of respect and emulation.

With just a humble beginning as an actor, Tom can be considered as Hollywood's most sought after actors due of his genuineness and humility in equal forms. Perhaps, Tom can be also be considered is only one of the highest income earners in Hollywood. I like Tom's humble attitude and being sincere which catapulted him to where he is now. Despite being well-known and respected, he remains to be simple and humble with his two feet on the ground.
Tom started out with cameo roles in different Shakespeare production plays and even won an acting award for playing a role in a theater production. In the long run, Tom has penetrated TV programs and shows alike. He first appeared in Bosom Buddies TV sitcom which exposed him a little more. Then Tom's first big screen success was via the film "The Splash" which made him more famous. Eventually he did several blockbuster movies that include "Forrest Gump", "Apollo 13", and a whole lot more. He starred in the controversial movie "The Da Vince Code". Tom Hanks was able to maintain a clean and straight image in the eyes of many and he has earned their respect and admiration. Tom's name is synonymous with fame, versatility, and respect. Tom is only one of the few actors that I really respect, admire, and envy.

The modern digital computer has become a very indispensable tool that paved the way to the development of modern digital movies. More amazingly, these movies can now be seen on digital cellular phones. I was just astounded by the digital video effects of action-packed movies nowadays. That is why I like Chow Yun-Fat's “Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger.” I have liked this actor after seeing this movie.
Chow, a versatile actor, started out as struggling actor in Hong Kong with "Hotel", a TV series with 128 episodes. Then he went on with other series that include "The Bund", "1930s Shanghai", and others which made him even more popular not only in Hong Kong His fame has reached every single South East Asian countries, Korea, and mainland China. His movie career started in 1977 but recognized as an actor via the film "The Story of Woo Viet" in 1982. This actor's film "Hong Kong 1941" earned him acting awards abroad that further added to his fame. He did other hit movies, but he debuted in Hollywood via the film "The Replacement Killers". These films did not only catapult him to fame, but made him earn huge income. His other films include “Anna and the King', “Corruptors” among others.

I have a little knowledge in martial arts that is why, I continue to harness my skills on it. This is why I really admire Jet Li, who is dubbed as one, if not the best star in this form of art. Equally great and famous is fellow Chinese Jackie Chan. Both actors have penetrated Hollywood and earned the admiration and envy of many. I personally believe that this art will help me maintain physical health as well as mental health. However, I must admit that I like Chan better.
Jet Li's humble beginning would include rigid training in various forms of famous martial arts specializing in wushu. His innate and superb skills made him stand out among his contemporaries. As such, this status landed him several international competitions and exhibitions. In the long run, Jet Li made money greatly upon starring in the movie Shaolin Temple.
This action star earned fame through different hit movies that had great followings. His hit movies include Dragon Fight, Once Upon A Time In China, Fist of a Legend, Romeo Must Die, and Unleashed among others. The movie "Fist of a Legend" is dubbed as Jet Li's best film ever, while "Fearless," is his last martial arts epic.

There is no doubt that Jackie Chan is one of most sought after actors today. This is true especially when it comes to martial arts action movies. This Chinese actor is indeed one of the best, if not the best, actor in this field. His remarkable skills landed him to Hollywood and earned him worldwide fame and admiration. To this day and age, Jackie's famous name has come to mean martial arts expert.
Jackie has his humble beginning as a supporting actor to the then Kung Fu Master Bruce Lee. But, early on his life, his father, who never liked his being inclined to martial arts, had him enrolled in a drama school in China. In the academy, he kept on training with fellow students until such time that he nearly mastered martial arts and other fighting skills. Eventually, he made his way to movies and gained popularity in China especially in Hong Kong.
Jackie Chan's penetration to Hollywood was not hassle-free at the beginning. As a matter of fact, his debut film was a dismal failure. At times, people would always identify him as the new Bruce Lee. But, through hard work and dedication, Jackie regained his reputation and became a world renowned actor. At present, he still makes movies which do not cease to hit the box office. His martial arts skills did not only make his what he is now, but kept him physically healthy.

I think that Jason Lee is the new funny man on television. I never fail to watch his hit television series, "My Name Is Earl". Man, is he funny on that show, or what? Jason Lee is one of those actors who do not live a high-profile career, but, he's someone that you would really take notice of. I first saw him in this funny movie, "Mallrats". He was totally cool in that movie. Jason Lee was originally a skater, I think. A skater who could act, that's a new one.
After I saw Mallrats, I saw him in this romantic comedy film, "Kissing A Fool". This movie suddenly became my all-time romantic comedy film favorite! It's a movie with another funny guy, David Schwimmer. It's not actually the greatest film, but, I thought it was hilarious and crazy. You should also see "Stealing Harvard", "Big Trouble", and of course, "Vanilla Sky" with the phenomenal Tom Cruise.
Jason Lee is no longer the wallflower actor that you only get to see once in a while. He is fast becoming the next funny guy that would conquer the Hollywood scene. If you haven't seen his past movies, you should. Jason Lee was never any less ten years ago.

I first noticed Jamie Foxx from the movie "Any Given Sunday". He was really something in that film. He was not the lead role, but he sure gave one hell of a performance. From then on, he made it big in the Hollywood scene. The talented Jamie Foxx began to have more projects and more blockbuster movies. There was Collateral with Tom Cruise. Boy, was that movie something or what? They had an explosive chemistry going on in that movie. I think that Jamie Foxx was perfect for that role.
I also never failed to watch him in the Saturday Night Live episode. He can also do some seriously funny acts, so to speak. Jamie Foxx, of course, gave the most memorable performance in his recent movie, "Ray". That movie garnered him a major award. I think that he fully deserved it. I mean, he sang all the songs in that movie. Did I tell you that he has the most wonderful voice for a Hollywood actor? He has this latest song with southern rapper Ludacris. The song is entitled "Unpredictable" and it's a darn good song.
Jamie Foxx can do almost anything. He can act, he can sing good music, and he can dance. What else is left that he has not ventured in? I say, he's going to last in the movie industry for quite a long time.

Who could ever forget that gay cowboy movie Brokeback Mountain? With all the controversies and awards it has earned, I am sure it has become one of the year's best remembered flicks. But, aside from the nominations, the movie has turned the spotlight on one of the emerging best actors of today. No, I am not talking about Quaid. I am talking about the versatile Jake Gyllenhaal.
Why versatile? Well, for one, consider the roles he has been accepting. This impressive actor has been known to have made his beginnings in low-budgeted and small indie productions, but even in those arenas, he has made his mark by giving an excellent performance. Proofs of that are the acclaimed film Moonlight Mile where he starred with big names like Susan Sarandon and Dustin Hoffman, and the movie Donnie Darko where he received an Indie Best Actor nomination. Speaking of proof, before going Brokeback, this actor shined with Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins in Proof, a masterpiece about a genius and which I missed seeing in cinemas.
For now, I think his versatility ends there. But, we can see that even from those relatively modest hits where he appeared, Jake is evolving and honing his craft. With the lineup of characters and projects being offered to him, this young actor is sure to go far.

I think that the movie Old School is an instant all-time classic. That movie was way hilarious. I thought Luke Wilson did a great job in that movie. I absolutely like this guy. He's not so flashy and yet he has that certain movie star appeal going on. He has that Hollywood male celeb aura.
I also think he's way cool because he dated Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow. Luke Wilson has a brother in the biz, Owen Wilson. Perhaps, you know him since he's a totally funny guy, too. But, I like Luke better. He can do serious roles, funny roles, and dumb roles. Now, who else can do that?
I recently watched The Family Stone and he was on it. I thought he played his part perfectly. He was paired-up with Sarah Jessica Parker, from "Sex and the City". The movie was really touching and funny too. I think this guy's going to go a long way. He's done several movies which were all fantastic, in my opinion. One of my favorites is the Royal Tenenbaums. It wasn't just Luke Wilson, it was everything else about the movie that's so real and yet so implausible. It's a very ironic movie, I suppose. Well, if you haven't seen any of these movies, perhaps you've seen Legally Blonde already. Since, everyone else has seen it. Luke Wilson played Elle's boyfriend-turned-husband in the both installments. So, you better watch out for more of this talented lad.

I first saw Ryan Reynolds in an HBO original film. I thought he was absolutely hilarious. He was also very good-looking, I might add. After watching that funny flick, I suddenly got interested. He was a very refreshing comedian. I found out that he also starred in Van Wilder, a crazy movie that you should see. Ryan Reynolds is not just drop-dead hot, he is also a very flexible actor.
I saw him in Blade: Trinity. Though he wasn't the lead actor, he contributed several comedic reliefs. He also made the women watching gag. He had a perfectly toned body in that movie.
As I sought for more information about this funny guy, I found out that he is also Alanis Morissette's boyfriend. They're both Canadian and I think they're the perfect couple. He starred in this short-lived comedy television series called "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place". I found some re-runs of the show and I thought it was entertaining enough. Ryan Reynolds did a cameo in one of my most favorite movies, Harold and Kumar. He was a surgeon, I think. He had a small part, but he sure gave a funny touch to the scene. He's not just for comedy too. Ryan did the Amityville Horror movie. I think he did a great job at scaring people. Well, he wasn't the monster or anything. But, he was an effective actor. This guy is just someone to watch out for.

We, film viewers, truly admire and envy in equal forms actors who can portray various roles naturally and effectively. Certainly not the trying hard ones because they are loathsome. This is commonly termed as versatility, but mind you, there only a handful of today's actors who can be called versatile.
Why? Apparently, not all good, high-caliber actors can take on and portray gay roles. Well, kind of. It is pretty obvious that these not-so-versatile actors shun such challenging roles, simply because they are not comfortable to do them. Their good names that often command masculinity will be tinted. For one thing especially the action superstars and matinee idols, think and believe, playing gay roles on TV or in the big screen may harm their reputation as such. Another good actor might exclaim that he does not want to kiss someone of the same sex while the cameras are rolling and many people are watching. But mind you, off cam this is another story because this is the nasty showbiz game.
Being a good actor results to versatility. Good actors who have unreluctantly took the challenges to play gay roles have proven their worth so far. That is why, there is no doubt that more and more gay-oriented films are making waves and hitting the box office and so are the actors who take part on these movies. See, challenging and rewarding at the same time. Hats off to these brave versatile actors.

Rob Schneider is one of the funniest persons I know on screen. He had his big break when he appeared at the "Late Night with David Letterman". From then on, he started polishing his talent. He honed his comedic skills in San Francisco doing front acts for the likes of Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. He was signed up to write for Saturday Night Live and later star on it. This blasted his career into an international comedian.
If you don't know, Rob's mother is Filipino and enjoys the culture of the Philippines. He surrounds his home with 50's rattan furniture and tourist shirts from the country. Rob Schneider also loves Hawaii and collects stuffs and t-shirt form the tropical island. Of course, you probably know that Adam Sandler and Rob are good friends and does cameos almost all the time, in each other's movies.
In the line up of his movie hits are "Hot Chick", "Deuce Bigalow" and his upcoming releases this year are "Big Stan" and the "Benchwarmers". Expect a lot more laughs from this weird, cuddly guy, and his equally weird, cuddly sense of humor.

You probably don't know who Rowan Atkinson is but I bet you are familiar with Mr. Bean. Who can forget his antics in the funny TV series, later turned into movie, Mr. Bean?
Mr. Bean, er, Rowan Atkinson was born in a farm in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom to parents Ella May and Eric. He has two brothers named Rupert and Rodney. There is no telling where Rowan got his comedic sense and acting abilities. You will be surprised to know that this comedian has a degree in electrical engineering from Newcastle and Oxford universities. Far from his popular talent, eh?
He started his career in comedy when he met fellow Richard Curtis, a screenwriter. He wrote with Curtis and performed some of the scripts. His fame started when he appeared and wrote for the British show "Not the Nine O'Clock News." He appeared on several movies before landing Hollywood fame with Mr. Bean and Johnny English.
He is currently happily married for almost sixteen years and has two children. It is also good to know that despite appearances, this funny Briton fancies fast cars.
We don't really know if he really sleeps with that cute, cuddly bear of Mr. Bean.

I developed a liking to Edward Norton when I first saw him on the Fight Club movie opposite hottie, Brad Pitt. Hey, I found him to be more attractive to him than to the dirty looking Brad Pitt then. Maybe what added to Edward Norton's crushability in the movie is the way he acted. He portrayed the loser part so incredibly that I liked him immediately. I've always liked losers. I don't know why.
This handsome man was born in Columbia, Maryland on August 18. At 31 years old, he has already received several nominations from different award-giving bodies. Aside form acting, Edward Norton also writes screenplays and direct movies. And would you believe it? He has a degree in History from Yale. Cool, eh? He is rumored to be currently dating the gorgeous Salma Hayek.
Edward Norton was noticed by Hollywood and fans by his antagonistic character in the movie Primal Fear. He played as a pseudo-schizophrenic young man who is accused of killing a pedophile cardinal. This movie also starred Richard Gere as his lawyer. He became an instant movie star.
Edward is best in portraying characters that are timid but with kept rage. He has also starred in several romantic comedies. Good looks and superb acting is this actor's best asset.

In the big screen, he is regarded as one of the most charismatic actors. A lot of observers feel that Antonio Banderas is one of the few actors that provide tenacious and no-nonsense acting. Over the years, Antonio Banderas has played a lot of significant roles and starred in box-office movies. This man from Spain made a jump into the star bandwagon when he played the legendary Zorro. His performance earned the respect and praise among peers and movie critics. His first Zorro movie pushed him to stardom and made him a favorite among ladies. Zorro, as a hero demands a lot from the actors who played the role. Banderas delivered with authority and gave justice to a very risky task. One remarkable thing about the movie was the brand of action that Antonio Banderas offers which is far greater than jumping from a building or flying with a motorcycle.. Recently, the Zorro sequel was released. The new film promises to duplicate what was achieved in the first Zorro movie. For the Antonio Banderas, the legend simply continues.

This mountain of a man is no doubt a familiar face for the film buff. Having appeared in Ocean's Eleven and its sequel as the big bruiser named Bruiser, Scott L. Schwartz is a 6' 9" actor who always gets cast in roles that call for big, hulking criminals, bullies or bad guys.
A former professional wrestler, Scott L. Schwartz knows how to use his size to his advantage, as he's often offered roles that match his appearance. But make no mistake; this man has a heart as big as he is.
With his menacing and sometimes comical appearance, Scott L. Schwartz might never become a leading man, but he does have one important role: He's the man that makes the stars look good!

The man is really making waves in and out of the movie industry. Known as a mercurial actor, Sean Penn is considered as one of the best performers in Hollywood. His marriage with pop sensation Madonna ended up as what the press and gossipers expected. Surprisingly, the relationship turned him hostile to the media and his antics earned him a trip to prison for felony charges. After his divorce, he married Robin Wright and continued on his movie career. His life turned into a big lift when he won an Oscar for Best Actor portraying the lead role in the film Mystic River.
Amidst his reputation, Sean Penn has always reached out to the unfortunate people. Recently, in New Orleans, he was able to save some 40 residents, which included a 73 year old man. Aside from the physical help, he also provided financial aid until such time that the government took the victims of Hurricane Katrina in its custody.

This New York hottie was born on April 14, 1973. He began his acting stint when he was just barely 12 years of age. It seems that drama is one of his passions. He studied the said field at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He also went to the High School for the Performing Arts when he was younger.
One must admit that studying drama has actually paid off for this charming New Yorker. He is the youngest to receive the Best Actor award in history. The award was won after he played the role of Jack Starks, an amnesiac soldier, in "The Pianist."
Adrien Brody is cast beside the lovely Naomi Watts for the new film, "King Kong."

Born on the 9th of June 1963, Kentucky native John Christopher Depp II originally wanted to become a rock star. However, fate brought him to the acting industry when he got introduced to Nicolas Cage by ex Lori Anne Allison. After catching the acting bug, his movie career rose with roles in A Nightmare on Elm Street, 21 Jump street, Edward Scissorhands, etc. Throughout his career, he tried every genre of movie. Today, he is still best known for his character Jack Sparrow on his blockbuster hit Pirates of the Caribbean.
After years in the movie industry, he has established himself as one of the versatile movie actors. He can do drama, action, comedy, and a lot more. A former rebel, he is now a family man to wife Vanessa Paradis and his children.

Today we pay tribute to a cult screen legend: Richard Kiel, who will always be remembered fondly for his portrayal of the seemingly-invincible, unstoppable giant assassin Jaws, who menaced James Bond in two films, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
Towering at 7' 2", Richard Kiel is a gentle giant, always ready to give fans an autograph and a photo opportunity. While older fans will remember him for his role as Jaws, the younger set will recall his role in the Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore, and helped make that comedy a much more memorable film.
With his unique appearance, and undeniable on-screen presence, Richard Kiel is a star no matter how big or small the role he plays.
