I just loved the first Ice Age flick. It was just too funny and too delightful for words. This 3D film is a good entertainment for the whole family. It is not at all just for laughs. The Ice Age film is a movie which values family ties, friendship, and good moral teachings. I actually cried on some parts of the film. Not that it's sad and all. I was just touched with all the heart-melting scenes that it had.
Every time that I go to the movies, I actually enjoy watching all the movie trailers first. It's a good way to find out about all the other upcoming films. I think that everyone secretly likes to watch movie trailers. It's just like watching entertaining commercials. When I saw the second movie trailer of "Ice Age: The Meltdown", I was so hysterical I forgot that it was just a movie trailer. As you know, the first Ice Age movie trailer was also a blast to watch; that small squirrel of some sort saving his pine nut for the winter?
It was just too cute. Well, the second movie trailer was not at all different. When I saw it, I just laughed so hard. It's already showing in all movie houses nationwide. If you still want to see the movie trailer, well, you're never too late. You can just watch it over the movie's official and reliable internet website.

No, this is not an unfamiliar movie. I am talking about the teaser or the movie trailer of the X-Men movie, the third installment, specifically. I just remembered seeing the trailer recently and I am sure that it will be included in the lineup of those awesome and visually-stunning summer season movies this year.
On the other hand, it's not as if the X-Men series have never been able to get their share of the market during summer. Even in the last two episodes of the former television series, their trailers have been presented nicely in such a way that it anticipates viewers. But, personally, the second movie was not that great; nothing beats the original. What just struck me this time in the X-Men 3 movie was that practically the same cast was included.
You see, last year or after the X-Men 2 film, there were talks that Wolverine would be replaced and Storm would not be played by Halle Berry anymore. However, on the trailer, the original cast is pretty much intact. It seemed that there are even additional characters in X-Men 3, which is expected since the third series would be about the major battle between Professor X's camp and Magneto's group. Oh, well, another good versus evil film to come and would surely capture the viewers' movie fancy.

It looks like the 2006 Superman will be more dramatic than previous screen versions. Perhaps the quintessential superhero in the world of graphic novels, the religious roots of the character has escaped very few comic lovers. Based on the trailer, the religious comparison is confidently exploited in this new film, perhaps to add a fresh serious tone to the comics-based film genre.
This is not to say that previous efforts to make comics not just more entertaining but more relevant to the larger film-viewing public have all failed. From the X-men series to The Hulk, the commonly deep-felt world-view of graphic novelists have been more or less retained in most recent film versions. But the new Superman may just be something else altogether, a new class of cross-over filmmaking that is at once cinematic and deep. And if this is indeed the makers' intentions, they couldn't have chosen a better character than the man from Krypton to translate or re-translate into film. Raised as a human being, he struggles with the illusion of being one of us. Will we ever see him fulfilling his messianic calling?

With the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, it looks like Hollywood has decided to expand its horizons and give fantasy movies a fighting chance.
Hence, the movie based on C.S. Lewis' fantasy saga was green lighted for production. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is now ready for a worldwide release this coming holiday season, and you're sure to encounter the heavier-than-usual marketing of this movie event. Everything from toys, books and video games will be thrown in your face, and the retailers will wait and see what sticks.
But that's all right, and forgivable, because once you se the trailer, you'll be lost in the world of Narnia and will want that experience to stay with you as long as it can. A fantasy world awaits moviegoers, full of terrifying and fantastic creatures, ranging from wolves, rhinos and lions to more mythical beasts like griffins, Cyclopes and Minotaurs. All this and a big battle, too! I, for one, cannot wait for this movie to be released this December 9th.

To many people, when you say the word "superhero" there is only one character who springs to mind: The Last Son of Krypton, Superman!
And come summer 2006 his name will again be on everybody's lips as the newest Superman movie, Superman Returns, will be released. You can be sure that comics fans all around the world are eagerly anticipating seeing the Man of Steel make his triumphant return to the silver screen. But for now, they will have to settle for the teaser trailer.
In the trailer, it looks like the film will trace the origins and early life of Kal-El, or better yet known as Clark Kent, from his adapted hometown of Smallville to his life in Metropolis. The main gist of the film, however, will focus on how a superhero deals with a world which he used to defend learn to get along without him, after his long absence.

It looks like the bullets are all going to fall into place for the new action movie Domino which stars Kiera Knightley (Pirates of the Carribean, King Arthur) and Mickey Rourke (Sin City, Once Upon A Time in Mexico). The trailer promises a whole magazine-full of explosive action and frentic shootouts.
Based (well, sort of) on the life and times of the late female bounty hunter Domino Harvey, Domino follows the intrepid bounty hunters Domino (Knightley), Ed (Rourke) and Choco (newcomer Edgar Ramirez) as they go about their careers as (what else) bounty hunters pursuing and arresting criminals for profit.
The slam-bang action of the trailer echoes the action movies of a bygone era, which isn't a bad thing if you leave your brain at the door and just sit back and enjoy the movie.
Domino is scheduled for an October 14, 2005 release.

After seeing the online trailer for the new horror movie Venom, I'm convinced that it's an old movie wearing new special effects. Let's see? Do we have a bunch of teenagers carefully stereotyped, with clear-cut victims and survivors? Check. Do we have a "spooky" setting, with our cast unable to leave or get help? Check. Do we have an unstoppable killer, complete with gimmick (here, he needed to get a bath)? Check.
Okay. Imperiled teens, desolate surroundings, maniacal, homicidal killer/monster. Hmmm...I don't know about you, but it seems that I've already seen this movie before. In about a billion other movies just like it!
Sigh. Venom is looking to be a disappointment. Even the trailer is venomous to the eyes, what more when I'm given the full dose?

The fourth installment of the Harry Potter series looks to be the best yet, if the trailer is any indication of the overall quality of the film. It begins with a retrospective of the three main characters, namely Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and the comical-as-ever Ron Weasley. Seeing them grow makes me feel both happy and sad. Happy because it's like seeing your own child grow up and spread his wings, and sad when you realize how old you've grown since the first movie.
Nevertheless, I look forward to this movie, as it seems to promise a darker, more mythical world where magic is not always benevolent, and can even get downright nasty.
Plus, it's got dragons. Dragons are always cool. Even good ol' Puff was the epitome of cool.
