When you see the Empire State Building, who do you think of?
That's right, who else but the one, the only, the original master of disaster, King Kong! Film geeks are abuzz at the news that a new version of the big ape was going to be filmed. And they all went and had an online orgasm when they found out who was lined up to direct the film: None other than Lord of the Rings helmsman Peter Jackson.
Everybody knows the story: Ape meets girl, ape goes bananas, and ape goes take a swan dive off the Empire State Building after eating buckets of lead. But with Peter Jackson directing the show, I'm sure people will pay good money to see that old saw retold on the big screen. Heck, he made LOTR watchable, and that book's been around for ages!
Besides, this movie will wash off the taste left behind by that other Kong movie, produced by that Italian guy.
