Olivia Cockburn was born on March 10, 1984 in New York City. She then adopted the onscreen name Wilde as a screen name inspired by playwright Oscar Wilde. Though she was born in the Big Apple, she's raised in Washington D.C. and even travelled to Ireland during summers where she studied at Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin preparing for an acting career. Olivia Wilde is the granddaughter of writer James Helvick and the daughter of journalist Andrew Cockburn. She married the Italian prince Tao Rapuli who is a dicumentary filmmaker, photographer and flamenco guitar player.
