She was born on October 29, 1971 in Winona, Minnesota. Obviously that's where Winona Laura Horowitz got her name. She grew up with hippy couple Michael and Cindy, and that explains her rather erratic and sometimes eclectic taste in life, and sometimes even with boys. She's fond of films and theaters before she dreamt of being an actress someday. This Hollywood beauty used to be skinny and tomboyish. Once, she was mistaken as an effeminate fag that boys from school bullied her. The reason she enrolled in a home study before she went to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
