Jeffrey Wright is a lawyer in this movie who has a knock of the conscience as he try to smoothen the process of the merger of two major U.S oil companies. Lastly, international star Mazhar Munir acts as a Pakistani teenager who is recruited by a cleric to work for him.
The story unfolds to show to the audience the greed for oil of countries including Americans. The connection in the story shows how it affects each of the characters and the global oil industry. Written and directed by Stephen Gaghan of "Traffic" fame, this suspense-thriller is packed with eye-opening scenes and dramatic excellence. Syriana is nominated for two Oscars.
